Don't ask. I didn't design this thing. But you can!

Noggin Nowadays/Old Noggin News/A Nibblet of Noggin!

~+~

What is Noggin? Noggin is our saving grace! That's what!

And the following is basically all the info I can tell ya about it, cuz it's all that's out there. So read on!

Noggin is alive and kicking!

*Noggin officially launched February 2nd, 1999!*

If you have the Dish Network or AT&T Digital Cable (or a big honkin' dish), you are probably enjoying Noggin right now. It airs Square One once daily at 1pm (Pacific), and Mathnet segments on the 'Phred on Your Head' show at 3 and 5 pm (Pacific). If you can tape the shows for anyone, please do so, and let me know! I myself cannot tape them yet, as my cable reception isn't that good. Once it gets better, I will start doing this, I hope!

12/99 UPDATE! Hey! I've got Noggin now! (Finally!) AT&T Digital Cable now offers Noggin in its lineup. Be sure and check to see if you've got it too! If you still don't have it, write your cable company and tell them to quit slacking off!

A link! Ooh!

Noggin now has their Web page up and running. Go and see for yourself!

OLD NEWS: Press release from the CTW Web Site:

'Nickelodeon and CTW announced that they will be involved in a joint venture to launch the first-ever educational television network for kids, called NOGGIN.

NOGGIN will be dedicated to education and entertaining kids between the ages of 2 and 14, and will aim to nuture their natural love of learning, through innovative education programming. The 24-hour channel will include new programming designed for both preschoolers (ages 2-5) and older children (ages 6-14), and will also draw from the extensive libraries of CTW and Nickelodeon.

The channel will be complemented by an interactive component, through a dynamic NOGGIN website, designed for information, communication and activities for kids, their parents and teachers. The website will feature orginal content related to NOGGIN's in-air programming, as well as content already created by CTW and Nickelodeon to complement their educational series

It looks like this may air in January.'

So now you're probably wondering if Square One TV will be included in the lineup, right? Well it is! But if you want more info on this project, all you gotta do is go to the CTW and Nickelodeon Websites and E-mail them! Or, you can send a letter to CTW at this address:

Children's Television Workshop

1 Lincoln Plaza

New York, NY 10023

And if you wanna get this network on your TV and have cable, be sure to write your local cable company and request it! I did! And they told me they'd send the info to the proper department! So they will listen to you!

In the meantime, stay tuned to this page! And keep some blank VHS tapes handy!
