So, What Happened Between
Them?
It goes a little
something like this...
Miles
and Pat had established an understanding for each other
from the start, and within a short time of arriving came
Miles' first 'move'. And Pat didn't resist it, mind you.
The following pic pretty much says it all (if you can't
see the pic, it shows Miles holding on to Pat's arm,
seemingly for protection as they entered the Red Room)...
C'mon,
tell me you saw it coming!

So the twosome already
understood they had each other's attention. And
that made things move pretty darned fast from
then on!
This behavior of course
lasted for the entire 'Mystery Weekend', most of
which took place after everyone was
freed from Peeved's cluches*. After all, Miles
had a lot to be thankful for, and why wouldn't he
want to 'pay back' Pat for her heroic deed of
saving everyone? And besides, he really dug that
chica.
What the audience may not
have known, unless one has read the Casebook version of this story, is
that the whole gang stayed another night after
Peeved was taken off to Jail! Ahhh! So that's
when it happened, you say!

Yes, that's when it all
happened, folks. Any chance Miles or Pat got to
'help' each other out, they did so. And both
appreciated the understanding the other had for
them. It was as even though arriving at Wit's End
instead of The Qualms was a mistake on George and
Pat's behalf, fate still allowed it. Maybe a bit
of a reach, but still, this show was more than
just Math lessons. Heck, Math was apparently a
very
small part
of it! So without any further explanation, you
might say Miles and Pat did a little 'sneaking
around' in each other's closets behind the
scenes! And from then on they became quite a
couple** , and soon enough baby would make three!

What? You want some proof to show for
it? Okay, I've got it!

actually ends, but of course more happened beyond what we
saw.
**We
never got to hear about their actual relationship, but
then we never heard much about George's personal life
either, since the focus of this show was on their work.
I'm certain further seasons of the show would have
demonstrated these changes , but I guess we'll never know
for sure.
